This place has always been my favorite for Vietnamese food. It has been too long since we last ate here and I wanted to write a review because the ownership recently changed. The dining room has been redecorated and is a calm and relaxing space. The food and service remain the stars of this restaurant. The waitress was attentive and concerned that we choose foods from the Vietnamese kitchen that we would like (we are not Vietnamese). My husband ordered jicama summer rolls and pork sautéed with pickled mustard greens. He enjoyed the rolls very much, especially the hint of mint and hoisin/sriacha sauce. The pork and mustard greens were very good and very mild. I usually leave the mustard greens more sour, but we enjoyed this dish. I cannot pass up spring rolls. Not only were these deliciously crispy, they have a wonderful combination of flavors. The texture and taste were very special and not like the usual spring rolls in Asian restaurants. I also had a shrimp and pork crepe. The accompanying herbs and lettuce were crisp and fresh. The crepe was well stuffed with shrimp, pork, and bean sprouts. I look forward to going back and trying the baby clams! Thank you for a wonderful dinner!

May be my favorite Eden center spot. Small, service is awesome, for July 2015 it's 10% off to dine in. Spring rolls here are awesome, especially the fresh ones. Peanut sauce is great Love the fish sauce chicken wings. So crispy and delicious Lemongrass and shaky beef were also good. Had no problems finishing everything on our plates. Can't wait to come back

It always seems the hole in the walls impress me most. Pho is my instant go too when there is even an inkling feeling of coming down with something. I stopped in after work, on a 90degree day ordered a nice hot tea, crispy spring rolls and the "small" chicken pho. JEEZE I mean what does the large look like?! Even on a hot summer day the Pho hit the spot, had me feeling great, content and healthy. Good food kind service I'll be going back again. YUM!

I made a promise not to speak of this restaurant, so we won't ever have to wait in line, but it has over 200 reviews so why not share the goodies with everyone!! First of all, do not, I repeat DO NOT get discouraged of its location. Yes, I'm aware the neighborhood looks like the ghetto hood, but if you order what I'm about to tell you right now, it'll be worth it. Trust. If you're looking for an authentic Vietnamese restaurant, then you should definitely give this place a try. However, only try these dishes: -Fried vietnamese wings: the wings are infused with flavor, it's MONEY. They're cooked in fish sauce, which in my opinion is an acquire taste, but if you're opened to trying new flavors, then this is a must. -Mini clams: this entree is a bowl of baby clams that you simply eat with their home-made chips. It may not sound or look appetizing, but it was delicious. Very unique dish that I have not seen anywhere else. I'd give this family-owned restaurant a higher rating, but I've tried their other entrees before and I wasn't impressed. Try these for now!

Love this place! Great fried chicken wings, sweet & sour soup, and short ribs! The Vietnamese Ice Coffee is fresh!

I've been to this places many times in the past but never really write a review for them. I haven't been back for years now but my parents decided to come back one evening. to my surprise, everything still stay the same except for newer renovation of course, I feel it is cleaner now. The place has a small parking spaces in the front but on the right side has decent parking spaces if needed. This place located in a small shopping plaza, pass Eden center two traffic lights I believe. The price for the food is a little overprice with the portion. I don't think it was amazing but was okay experience with food quality and quantity. I don't think i will come back as I can get somwhere else with better good and more decent price.

I live near Eden Center and Little Saigon is in our regular rotation. This is a quiet family-run restaurant and I love how there is never a wait to get seated. They can easily accommodate groups, and they accept credit cards with a minimum amount, which I think is $15. Parking is a bit of a puzzle. We often come by around 8 or 9pm on a weeknight, and I'm convinced every employee drives their car, because all the other shops in that mini strip mall are closed, and yet we see 7 or 8 parked cars but only 3 or 4 patrons in the restaurant. (That being said, we never have trouble finding a place to park even though parking spaces are limited.) My boyfriend doesn't like this restaurant as much as me, but he typically orders pho, bun, or bo luc lac. This isn't really a restaurant that specializes in pho, as they only have one option. However, if you like variety, they offer a little bit of everything for everyone. For appetizers, I like the crabmeat fried spring rolls, which are made with rice paper. Their bo bia is an autumn roll with sliced jicama, Chinese sausage, and they add shrimp and egg, which is a bit different from other bo bia that I've tried. The papaya salad with shrimp and pork is just like how my mom would make it at home. If you are in a lettuce-wrapping type of mood, I enjoyed the banh hoi chao tom. This is shrimp paste wrapped around sugar cane and comes with thin vermicelli noodles, aromatics, and lettuces. This is a great dish if you want something light but aren't feeling the urge for soup. Of course, if you are in a soup mood, I love their hu tieu mi. That is the dish I order most frequently. If you look around, a lot of customers are ordering the set menus or are having hot pot or wrapping their own summer rolls. A lot of set menus at Vietnamese restaurants are the same, but they are popular with families, including my own. It's a good way to sample other dishes asides from pho or com tam.

We had a party of 15 today. The food was wonderful, especially the calamari. We stayed for more than 2 hours visiting with friends we had not seen in years. The restaurant employees were very accomodating. We will definitely be back!

This place repulsed me compared to the wonderful choices at Eden Center. I stuck to more Americanized dishes here like the vermicelli and pho rather than exploring their extensive authentic cuisine. I recommend coming here for authentic instead. Plenty of seating and they take credit but small parking lot.

I might never have noticed this place had my sister not recommended it. With Eden Center so close by and an abundance of Vietnamese restaurants to choose from, Little Saigon, situated in a small strip plaza with a Jiffy Lube next to it, would not have caught my attention. You absolutely must make the trip here. It's spacious, clean and bright and is well positioned to let in ample amounts of sunlight. There's a pretty mural of the Eden Center in one corner of the restaurant. So we're off to a good start already. Now, the food. Very flavorful and with decent portion sizes. We got the baby clams and the sampler as appetizers. My father particularly liked the shrimp around the sugar cane in the sampler. We also got vermicelli with grilled beef, pho, and pan fried crispy noodles. There was a generous amount of grilled beef with my vermicelli and the pan fried noodles (with vegetables, meat, and seafood on top) was enormous. You must eat the food on top of the noodles quickly, otherwise it can make the noodles soggy. The prices may not be as cheap as at Eden Center but the ambiance here and quality of food was well worth the visit.

My Vietnamese friend recommended Little Saigon as the best Vietnamese restaurant in the area. It does offer a full menu, not just Pho as the non Vietnamese customers have been accustomed to. I am pretty pleased about that. The foods are good but not outstanding yet because my expectation of this restaurant is higher than usual. I forgot to order fried chicken wings in fish sauce and they didn't have grill rockfish with rice paper. Here was what my friend recommended: Lotus root salad Soft shell crab tempura (2 crabs) Cubed sirloin steak (very good) Crispy seafood noodle Caramel fish (too sweet and salty for my taste) Vietnamese yellow pancake with shrimp and bean sprout The price is awesome. $17 per person.

Let me preface this with saying that I'm not all that familiar with vietnamese fare other than pho and a few other things. Either way, I thoroughly enjoy the food coming out of this place. I've read the other reviews and have tried the sirloin beef cubes, lotus stem salad, chicken wings, caramel fish, noodle dishes and have to say that i have not been disappointed. the caramel fish might be a little too different tasting for some but the other stuff should be all around crowd pleasers. the chicken wings, as everyone else attests, are excellent. i, honestly, can't imagine coming here and not getting the chicken wings with fish sauce. they are that good. everything else is nothing mind blowing but, overall, this place more than deserves trying out especially if you've never had vietnamese outside of pho. service is alright...as in friendly but not attentive at times.

This place seems to be up and down on service. Tonight it was practically nonexistent. Food was plopped down and waiter completely disappeared. No water refills, nothing. Too busy working tables of apparent regulars.p

People weren't kidding when they said this place was good. I for one, was just glad I didn't have to risk getting my car smashed or hit by an SUV in the Eden Center parking lot nearby. I'd go a long way for Vietnamese food, but Eden Center can be a pain in the ass sometimes thanks to the annoying parking situation. On the other hand, Little Saigon is tucked away in a small lot next to Eden Center. The parking lot is tiny but you usually can find a spot even when it's crowded. The restaurant is pretty straightforward. You have your polite but often slow waiters taking care of your orders. It's hard not to want to grab a ton of food when you sit down. The menu is huge and fortunately most of the dishes we ordered were great hits. The spring rolls were tasty and surprisingly less greasy than what's found in other places. The summer rolls were light and pleasant. The bo luc lac (beef) dish was fine with a lot of flavor. However, two of the biggest highlights for me were the caramelized shrimp and the incredible chicken wings. The shrimp was robust, flavorful but not overly sweet. It was one of the fastest dishes that disappeared from the table. The chicken wings were perfectly done, with a hint of spiciness and a slightly pungent feel thanks to the fish sauce. However, it wasn't overly saucy and it was wonderfully crispy. If you had to try one dish here, make sure it's the wings. The rest of our meal (soup, crepe etc) were fine and dandy. But the real standouts that day were the aforementioned shrimp and wings. Don't miss those items!

This was one of my first authentic non Pho Vietnamese experiences. I came with my Vietnamese friend and she did all the ordering. We got the fried chicken wings, tamarind soup, combination pan fried noodle, caramel fish and sautéed watercress. The fried chicken wings with fish sauce and the combo pan fried noodles both were amazing. I liked the fish but beware if you're not used to authentic Asian flavors you may not like the caramel fish or tamarind soup as much. Overall, the food was good and for as much food as we got it was very reasonably priced.

I hate giving a small business/restaurant a negative review, but living in the heart of some of the best Pho in VA, I am a little more picky about my pho. I got the beef pho, and the broth was green. Usually when I have pho the broth is brown and not green. It had a different flavor, I think they put curry powder in it. It also gave me heart burn. I didn't want to finish it. Over all it was just meh. The beef was of very good quality though-- thicker than usual and very tender. I won't be dining here again for my pho fix!

Very authentic Viet flavors ! Place serves a lot of traditional dishes and drinks that you will not find in most restaurants. Falls Church has a lot of good offerings for Asian cuisine, this is definitely one of the best ones ! Definitely will keep coming back.

Fantastic. Stopped in here for some pho and a beef and veggie sauté plate that we shared. Both were excellent. Prices were reasonable and food quality was very good. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Went here for a late dinner the other night and was happy to know that this place is actually open pretty late! I believe they're open until 10:30 PM most days, which is great. We came in, waited for someone to make contact with us and seat us (no sign indiciated whether it was self seat or what), and after a few minutes, we just sat down. We were brought out menus rather quickly, but again - waited another 10 minutes until our drink/food order was taken. I felt somewhat bad, because they had several tables open and seemed short-staffed. There were probably about 3 people serving that night and one person cleaning tables, but nobody came back to check up on us and it looked like there was another table of women a little irked because they were trying to flag someone down to get their check. We finally put in our orders and got orders of the crispy spring rolls, the fresh garden rolls, and fresh shredded pork rolls then 3 large orders of the beef pho. Our orders were brought out rather quickly and don't get me wrong the servers are nice, but the service was super super slow here. The crispy spring rolls and garden rolls were great. The fresh shredded pork rolls were not our fave - the texture was weird and the pork tasted funny. It was like eating "fuzzy" meat. The crispy spring rolls were probably my favorite - you get only 2, but they're cut up into 3 small pieces each and both rolls were pretty filling - perfect for 2 people. On to the pho... great huge portions, the beef slices were my favorite, and the broth was a little different than my other favorite pho places. The slices of beef were nice, juicy, and thick. I thought they were tender and bigger chunks compared to the very thinly sliced pieces you get at other pho places. That was definitely a thumbs up. The broth was also decent, but was lacking a bit in flavor. It was missing that cinnamon/slightly sweet flavor that you taste at Pho Sate or Pho 75, but since pho isn't their specialty here, it didn't bother me too much. It was still good nonetheless, just needed some extra hoisin and sriracha. This is where customer service could've been a bit better - we were given our pho orders then the server walked away and didn't say a word or ask us if we need anything. We only received 2 bowls thinking another one was coming out, but after waiting another 10 minutes, we realized they forgot my cousin's order. We tried to make contact with someone and after another 10 minutes, someone finally came back and put in our order and then she got her bowl of pho a few minutes later. The pho broth itself wasn't my favorite, but I do like the thick, chunky cuts of beef better here. The customer service, however, eh could've been more improved. I feel like they were short staffed and the servers weren't really coordinating well with eachother. I'll probably come back if I'm craving pho on a late night, but will continue to frequent other establishments.

Been here twice now, and might have made a mistake in getting the fixed menu for 2 both times. Some of the food is great (tamarind soup, fish in clay pot) while others are just fine. I prefer other spots for Vietnamese food. Decor is bare bones. Service is inconsistent.

The pho here was good, but the appetizer rolls weren't that great. The service was okay. Overall this place wasn't bad, but it didn't wow me. I would try it again though.

This place is my goto spot for southern vietnamese fares since the other places in Eden Center have become much too crowded and the wait times are getting ridiculous. The offerings here are just as good (if not better) and there's less of a crowd. And it turns out, friends of my father frequent this place often so when I accompanied them, I was introduced to an incredibly savory dish, 'xuong hum'. This is not on the menu, but if you ask, it may be available. It's basically a pork shank soup. The broth is an umami laden treasure trove with every spoonful and the pork shank is falling off the bone goodness. It is simply spectacular and mix in some side of steamed egg noodles and you've got a hands down award winning dish that any iron chef would be proud to serve.

I didn't hate this place, but I didn't love it either. Once I come back and try different menu items maybe I'll update my review. The restaurant itself is like any standard Asian restaurant. Not too fancy, and one server helping out the whole restaurant. I was impatiently hungry. After leaving eden because our first choice was closed, we ventured here based on yelp reviews. I ordered the caramelized fish in a hot pot, and my bf got the crepe? Not sure what exactly went in it, but we didn't know how to do eat it. I liked how it came with many veggies on the side, but the crepe itself was oily and flavorless. The caramelized fish was too salty. It was almost .. too flavorful? This place did nothing to wow me.

Went here with family (party of 10) on a weekday. It's walking distance from Eden center but I feel like it's away from all the traffic and commotion. This is a fairly good Vietnamese place. Decent/good quality authentic taste. I have only been here a few times in recent years but the place is good. Other places at Eden, such as Hai Duong & Rice Paper have better tasting food in my opinion.

  • Theresa A.

Came here for the first time, tried a few dishes with my cousin. We had the crab spring roll and wings with fish sauce flavor as a starter. The crab spring roll was nothing special, tasted more like MSG flavor. The chicken wings with fish sauce was very tasty! Definitely would like to try that again. My cousin had the pho soup, she liked it, and I had the grilled pork chop dish with pork meatloaf and rice. The grilled pork was yummy. The pork meatloaf was different, but not my favorite. I would definitely come back to try the more authentic dishes.

The Pho game is on point. I cannot speak for anything else on the menu. I got a small Pho Gat, it was a lot. Like, a lot. Plenty of sprouts, noodles, onions, chicken etc.. The service, as others have commented is lacking. I've been done eating for about 15m and the waiter is still sitting cleaning beans. I don't need anything as I'm waiting for traffic to die, but I know you northern Virginians don't like to wait and if you come here, you might not get excellent service, but you'll get some banging ass Pho. There must be a little ceasers close by, because it smells oddly like it in here. The $15 minimum on credit cards is real. There is no ATM close by.

Underwhelming meal. Food was much more Americanized Asian versus good Vietnamese food. This was heavy with no sense of the fresh fusion I have grown to love.

I love restaurants that appear to be off the beaten bath and Little Saigon qualifies as that. The menu is extensive and provides lots of options besides the usual pho dishes. I believe we ordered a fish hot pot of some sort and it was DELISH! I would certainly come back here in the future. The service was also good and staff was friendly!

I went here for dinner last night on a recommendation from a friend, and had a decent dinner. The restaurant is located next to the Jiffy Lube on Wilson which is very close to Eden. They have a private lot with more spaces off to the side of the market as well. I order the com phan for 2 people at $35.00 which is pretty decent for this area (my mother in Westminster would be appalled). The com phan consist of 4 dishes and white rice, and you have get to choose two options for each dish: 1. Spring roll v. Egg roll- I got the spring rolls which was good. 2. Canh chua v. Canh tich va rau- sorry , I can't really translate this- but its essentially a sour seafood soup or a pork and watercress soup. We chose the heartier pork soup and it was by far my favorite dish of the night. 3. Clay pot catfish v. fish sauce fried chicken v. lemongrass chicken- you know I gottta go with fish! It was very well seasoned and reminded me a lot of my mom's but slightly sweeter. 4. Shrimp v. calamari stir fry- this dish was meh and we got only 3 pieces of calamari and mostly vegetables that was overly saucy and not enough flavor. We were pretty hungry so we did manage to finish everything except the calamari stir fry. I like this restaurant and saw lots of people order to-go dishes including the pho and com hen. The service was not rude but I wouldn't say that they are that nice either. The restrooms were also clean. Plus, they take visa and mastercard!!! I will be back to try their other rice dishes and noodles.

The chicken wings with fish sauce were AMAZING. Their vermicelli bowls were perfectly prepared - the meat was flavorful and the veggies were very fresh. The service was friendly and quick. Went back again today...and yes, still SO good!

Three and a half stars. Cramped parking lot attached. Decent service. Fresh herbs with all our dishes. Skip the goi cuon, you can get better quality summer rolls elsewhere. Hoi ga was alright: nicely grilled, still moist, and garnished with chopped peanuts. Fish sauce was well balanced. Bun bo hue was disappointing: low quality noodles with a mealy texture, and a broth that had no depth. Its only redeeming quality was the healthy portioning of meat. The baby clams appetizer alone is worth returning for, based on good flavors and the texture combination with the rice cracker... but I'll definitely be tasting around the menu to find an equally enjoyable entree.

  • Theresa W.

Neighborhood place that's a little quieter than Eden Center, but just a few steps away. Parking lot is tiny, which can be a pain. But since even when it gets busy, there's still empty tables, it's a good place to bring a group even without reservations. Staff are friendly though not always the quickest. Lots of families come here and it's got a casual atmosphere. The menu is huge! The egg rolls are just ok, but the fried garlic butter chicken wings, grilled items, and chopped clams app with huge rice crackers are awesome - the clams are even better than Four Sisters'. Portions are generous and everything's pretty inexpensive.

  • Robin B.

Excellent Vietnamese food. There is a large menu, and everything I've tried has been very good. The sauces and flavors are subtle. The food is perfectly cooked. Depending on what you get, a large bowl of fresh white rice is served (for free) with your meal. I will keep coming back to this place, as I have for over 8 years, as long as I live in the area.

  • Cuong T.

Let me start off with saying that the food here is actually pretty damn good. My favorite things to get are the crispy chicken wings and baby clams. However, two things make me not give this place a full 5 stars. After going for a few times you may notice that their portions aren't consistent. Because I noticed it, it was that bad. This is true for the two dishes mentioned above...for I don't really know how the other dishes fair in consistency. The second flaw of this place is the staff...the servers to be specific..the older servers to be even more specific. They don't treat the younger generation with as much care as the adults and tend to seem to not give a damn about how you're doing midway through your meal. They take your order, give you your food, forget to bring out things, and never refill your water. Now this place can get really busy and I understand that that slows down the waiters a bit, but there are at least 3-4 people working at even the slowest hours and the things mentioned above still happens. But like I said, the food is still excellent Vietnamese food so if you don't mind risking having an experience that I described above, then try this place out.

"Little" in Little Saigon is misleading. The restaurant is top notch and serves up a large menu with deliciously mouth watering dishes. The fish sauced chicken wings and octopus are to die for. Fresh ingredients and mouth watering flavors will jolt your taste buds. We had various dishes and all of them were delicious. The service was excellent and the food came out quickly. There is plenty of seating for large parties and the restaurant is very cozy. I will definitely be coming back to this restaurant when I am in the area. It's a must try spot for anyone that is close by that has not tried them before.

This place still rocks... and I'm updating my review to say -- the environment at this place has changed! They no longer have those sticky picnic table like table covers... it's all wooden tables now that makes the place look livelier. The food is just as awesome and I did not notice any price change. They even hired more people to work the tables. The owner is still there all the time; still a plus. LOVE LOVE this place.

If you are a Vietnamese food lover and find yourself loitering around Eden Center saying, "been there...done that". I have the place for you! Little Saigon is a "must do" on the list of any Vietnamese cuisine connoisseur. It is located two lights up the street next to the BJs and it is indeed a hidden gem. Don't expect extravagance or fancy table cloths - this is a family-owned business but the people there will treat you right. If you are not Vietnamese, make sure you go over the selections here on Yelp before you visit. Or better yet bring along a Vietnamese friend to accompany you so you know what to order. Although friendly and helpful, there might be somewhat of a language barrier with some of the staff. You might just have to resort to pointing to the menu. Believe me, when it comes to authentic Vietnamese cuisine - that is a good sign. Cannot rave enough about the "Nuoc Mam Wings". You MUST get! These little guys are like miniature firecrackers exploding with sweet, tangy / slightly spicy flavor. I could come to this restaurant just to have these. Plus they give you a pile of chicken that could feed several, even though it is sold as an appetizer. Also try the "Banh Nam Nuong". These are grilled pork meatballs on skewers served with vermicelli, fresh greens, pickled carrots & radish and sliced cucumbers. You get this with a big plastic container full of water and crepes. Methodology - Dip the crepes in the hot water. Put it on your plate and then lay out the meat and greens inside. Next you roll that puppy up in a summer roll then boo yah! Hot Vietnamese deliciousness in a convenient hot pocket. Soooo good! A small minus for a little too much authenticity when it comes to cleanliness, language issues and tiny parking lot. Other than these minor take-aways, I recommend this restaurant and suggest you give Little Saigon a try!

Best Vietnamese food I have ever et. Fish Sauce Wings are the best wings on the planet! BUT USE CAUTION: do not send your girlfriend there to get them as carryout. Doing so will result in a severe shortage of wings to you. In fact, I would no longer trust anyone to get my Chien Nuoc Mam from Little Saigon--EVER! The Baby Clams I would definitely get again. Loved them. Green Papaya Salad with Spicy Beef Strips. Wonderful. Tamarind Soup with Fish was one of the best things I have ever had in my life! Comes with a variety of fresh crunchy vegetables to add, pho-style. Do it. Add them all. Just an amazing collection of flavors and textures. I have eaten several other dishes from LS, but the ones above are my most memorable so far. Cannot wait to try everything else on the menu--but I will get Nuoc Mam Chicken wings EVERY time. Mmmmmmmmm, uuuummmmph! This is my second "visit" to LS--the first in person, the 2nd as takeout. Both resulted in extraordinary eating. There is Vietnamese food, and then there is Little Saigon. If you are new to this area, or new to Vietnamese, whether LS becomes your favorite or not, if you start with LS, this will set your standard for local/DC area Vietnamese food.

Excellent food in a comfortable atmosphere. Had the 6 person dinner option, a few drinks and extra apps (wings-amazing and shrimp wontons-light and flakey, delicious). Came out to about $30pp.

Finally found an authentic Vietnamese restaurant to take the place of our favorite Viet Bistro (Eden Center) which closed a few months ago. Little Saigon is a few blocks from Eden Center on Wilson Blvd in the same area. Very authentic Clay Pot, crepe appetizers and soups. We were surprised by the oversize portions - so we took home enough for another meal (very well packed). People were nice, place is clean, food is good AND menus have pictures for most dishes. The round tables have those spinning centers for family sharing. Next time we will order more appetizers to experiment. They have take out but not delivery - wish they delivered.

We went here because the restaurant in Eden Center didn't accept credit card. The staff is nice and friendly, but it was pretty empty on a Saturday evening. The free shrimp rice crackers were pretty good, fresh, crunchy, and tasty. The food was okay, not the best. The Pho brth eas clean and refreshing, but it had no real tasI really liked their spring roll, the crunchy one, but the summer roll was on the bland side. Both were priced at $3.95 for two. Across from us, we noticed a table had a bunch of fried chicken and shrimp. It looked delicious. Wish we ordered that instead. The average price range was between $9-$13 a plate.

Cyndy's BOTTOM LINE: Delicious Vietnamese food with a wide variety on the menu in a relaxed setting. You will enjoy everything about Little Saigon. Cyndy's TIP: there is additional parking on the right side of the building. This is what we ate: #19 on the menu: Green papaya salad with thin strips of spicy beef jerky. The papaya is shredded nicely, good crunchiness, and a good proportion of sauce. The sauce is well balanced in flavor and the spicy beef jerky adds another dimension to the flavor of the salad. #12 on the menu: Chicken wings sauteed in fish sauce. A must order (AMO) because it is so delicious with great flavors!!! The chicken wings are fried crispy and you have the option of sauteed in butter or fish sauce. I chose sauteed in fish sauce with green onions and garlic. Excellent, choice because it was so flavorful. #29 on the menu: Vietnamese crepe with onions, bean sprouts, shrimp and pork. Served with fresh greens, pickled carrots and radish. Crepe is nice a crunchy, good amount of bean sprouts, and a little on the oily side but the dish was good. Good amount of salad greens to accompany the crepe. Service is great. It is clean. Relaxed setting. Instead of going to Eden Center for Vietnamese food I will go to Little Saigon for a totally better experience and delicious food!!! P.S. I noticed that they have a decent wine list!!!!

Great little restaurant. The crispy spring rolls here are serious! I recommend coming with a couple friends and splitting one of the dinner combo options, because you get a nice variety of dishes. I had the Stir-Fry Beef Rice Vermicelli dish, and I tried a bit of someone's Pho. The dishes here are fairly plain, but they give you a few sauces that were all great. One was like an Asian BBQ sauce. Sriracha went really well with the stir-fry. Food and service was solid, two thumbs up in my books!

I've been going here since I was a child. I've been getting the same waiter since I was little as well. I think they recently changed cooks or something because it tastes a little different. It's still good but different.

4.5 stars. My spouse and I have been eyeing this place for years, but there are so many fine pho restaurants around Falls Church and Fairfax, so we always seemed to forget Little Saigon. Then we read a glowing review in a local paper and committed to it after shopping at the adjacent BJs. Well, what a mistake to have overlooked this gem. And it was rocking with several parties when we went. Still, our server provided pretty good service. Parking is not the best, as most of the spots appear to be next door at an Asian grocery. They have a huge varied menu compared to pho joints, but I chose Chicken Pho with Egg Noodles -- which is nice because they give a choice of rice or fine or thick egg noodles. The chicken pieces were different than any other pho I've had, as they were lumpy and had the density of McNuggets vs. the denser, tougher strips you find elsewhere. Both are processed with fillers, no doubt, but it was a little weird chewing it. The broth -- OMG perfect. Wifey had Lemon Grilled Pork and she was in heaven, as that's her fav. We'll be back without question, but maybe on a weeknight to avoid crowds.

Little Saigon Restaurant is in my top three list of Vietnamese Restaurants in Northern Virginia. People go to Little Saigon because the food tastes authentic. They are not there for the service. You never go to a restaurant near the Falls Church Eden area for their service. You go to these places because the food taste so freaking delicious! Now, here I would recommend the caramelized pork. One of my favorites especially the pieces with cartilage. The wings are a very good appetizer option! You should give it a try. My friends and family insists on getting the baby clams but it just doesn't do it for me. Its tasty but I feel like I'm eating crackers with hints of protein. You really can't go wrong with any of the items on their menu. If you end up not liking it then maybe authentic Vietnamese food is not suited for your palette. I am South-East Asian and I approve this review!

Duck Vermicelli Duc Soup (Bún măng vt) #33 is my favor ... I usually brought friend from out of state such as California to Hai Duong or Thanh Tong restaurant in the past ... I didn't eat out much after getting marry ... It's good to know when I ate at this restaurant with my friends during Tet after doing volunteer work. I took my wife & 2 little daughter there with a Specialicious voucher $10 for $20. However, we order family dinner with #33 because there will be nothing wrong with seafood dishes with rice for the children & we used to order family dinner during our Vietnamese friend get together here. However, my 2 daughter wants try my order of Duck Vermicelli Duc Soup (Bún măng vt) #33 ... my wife was trying ... she is picky eater ... so we didn't finish dishes in family dinner order ... take home. I didn't know this dish here before since the restaurant changed owner. I knew the owner too. However, you could try it while comparing with the taste from other Vietnamese restaurants in Eden Center.

This seemed like a really good Vietnamese place just a bit down the road from Eden Center (for those of you who don't like to play bumper cars in the Eden Center parking lot...^^). My dish was pretty good, not great. It seemed pretty authentic, though, just not my preference. I ordered the caramel fish hot pot, which is a little salty. My secretary, who is from Vietnam, took me there and she says it's pretty authentic. There is a pretty good size menu, and so I am really looking forward to going back and trying out some more dishes. I may bump up the ratings after I have more experience there...

The atmosphere was respectable and the food wasn't anything special. I ordered a noodle soup with a quarter duck and, the best part about it, a few really good mushrooms. The waitperson was attentive and generous with refilling my iced tea. When I went to pay, my order came to about $11, and I was told that it needed to be $15 in order to use a credit card. I had never been to a place with such a policy. I asked him where I might find an ATM and he pushed me to "Just order something else." The $15 minimum felt like an attempt to get me to buy more food and I didn't appreciate this. It was not a good experience, in the end, and I told myself I would not be back, and I would write a review on Yelp.

The "bo yum yum" dish is #71. Ask for it grilled. Make sure you don't turn the burner up too high, as the meat will burn to further death and you WILL stink up the place. Also, don't exclude the sauce it comes with. Spicy food lovers must ask for sliced chili peppers on the side to add to that sauce. If you're watching your curves, ask for the hot pot version. Turn up the heat as high as you want. The sauce is still necessary. I had this dish last night and just remember how much I LOVED it. Enjoy :)

Upon looking for new tasty Vietnamese restaurants, I happened to find this restaurant on yelp and immediately notice the attention this place gets for the chicken wings. A new find for awesome wings? I'm there! We went last night, the night of the supposed winter snow storm. Located next to the JiffyLube, the restaurant is small on the outside but spacious on the inside. The waiter was an older Vietnamese man who was as sweet as can be. Service was friendly and really speedy (perhaps because there were only 2 other tables seated and they wanted to close). We ordered the fried chicken wings with fish sauce, baby clams and Vietnamese crepe (banh xeo). One by one, each dish came out and we couldn't have been any more pleased. The wings truly did live up to its reputation. Amazing! The exterior was extremely crispy yet light and flaky. The thick fish sauce that was drizzled over the wings was everything I wanted the sauce to be (except I wanted more). Savory, fishy, slightly spicy and tangy. I will definitely return, I cannot stay away from those wings! Def a must try for people living in the area.

Big trouble in Little Saigon? No way! As I had a pleasant experience dining here on a week night. Parking was plentiful and the service was fast. Yes, it was empty but that's has no reflection of the food. The banh xeo crust was crispy with shrimp and stuffed with bean sprouts and pork. Bánh Hoi Chao Tôm (Shrimp Paste on grilled around a sugar cane stick) was tasty as well. There was plenty of shrimp paste on the sugar cane stick. Little Saigon provided just the right amount of veggies to wrap the banh xeo and Bánh Hoi Chao Tôm. So if you seeking an alternative to the hustle and bustle of eden center then definitely swing by Little Saigon.

I am Vietnamese and I can say that the dishes I had at this restaurant are far from authentic. Their bun cha Hanoi (northern style grilled pork with vermicelli) and hu tieu do bien (seafood rice noodle soup) did not taste at all like they should. We were rather disappointed. You might be happier with their specialites such as the wings and bo bia (jicama rolls).

After reading some positive reviews about this place, I decided to take my family for Mother's Day lunch. When I initially mentioned it to my mom, she said we tried the place over 20 years ago and it sucked. I told her a lot could change since then. She is a very picky Vietnamese woman, and there is only 2, maybe 3, places she approves of around the area for good vietnamese food. We ordered a number of items: fried wings with fish sauce (which so many raved about on yelp), caramelized fish, shaky beef, vietnamese crepe, soft shell crab in ginger, pork chop broken rice, grilled lemon chicken, pork egg rolls and crab egg rolls. EVERYTHING WAS INCREDIBLY SALTY!! None of us finished our food and we just looked at one another disappointed. Should've let this place be crossed out forever. My fiance and I joked maybe another 20 years we shall give it another go. I don't think it's worth it. Done. Blacklisted. Good bye.

Little Saigon Restaurant in Falls Church is my go-to Vietnamese food place. I'm not a big fan of the Eden Center because it is crowded, people can't drive or park, and it's known to have gang activity. I avoid the Eden Center whenever possible. So, I was trilled to discover Little. The food is totally authentic and it's the only place I go to for Vietnamese food now. The new owners have made changes to the appearance of the dining room and changed up some of the food recipes. What a vast improvement! I love their price fix meal options at the back of the menu and their chicken wings sautéed in butter. I highly recommend! You can have it with or without the house garlic and fish sauce reduction. OMG, best chicken wings around. They also have Pho that's very good! The fresh noodle bowls with fresh herbs, lettuce, and bean sprouts are also one of my favorites for lunch. It's filling but light, so I don't fell like I need a nap before going back to work. You can get it with grilled chicken, pork, beef, meatballs, or shrimp. Don't let the extensive menu intimidate you. Many of the menu items are variations of other dishes. For example, one item might be the noodle bowl with grilled chicken, the next item is the noodle bowl with grilled pork, then shrimp, etc. Everyone loves the fresh garden rolls with pork and shrimp and I'm no exception. Each one is made to order. Okay, I'm making myself hungry... BTW, I also found them on FaceBook! Yippee! I wish FB had a "Love" button. Hehe.. It's definitely a must try!

This is my go-to Vietnamese restaurant in the Falls Church/Arlington area. We live right next door, luckily! They recently redecorated and it is much improved! We are pescatarians, so we are vegetarians, but we also eat fish. They have a ton of great options! Appetizers: Their vegetarian spring rolls are the best I've found and they serve them with a delicious vegetarian dipping sauce (instead of the traditional fish sauce). Their garden rolls are also good and they will make them with shrimp only/no pork. I also recommend their baby clams with rice crackers appetizer. Their shrimp wonton soup is so comforting and delicioius. The wontons are silky and the broth is perfectly seasoned. Entrees: They have some of the tastiest vegetarian options around! I love their chili and lemongrass "chicken" made with chopped fried tofu. Their garlic watercress goes deliciously with any dish as a side, especially if you're trying to get some veggies in your diet. Another great dish is their Tofu in a tangy tomato sauce. I get the tofu unfried, and its a really healthy and delicious dish. Their soups are always good: I've tried the sweet and sour fish soup and their shrimp and watercress soup and both are great.I've heard their Pho is good too. Its a family-run place and the service usually pretty good. They always get the order right and are very sweet. Everyone that we've introduced this place too loves it. You might not expect it to be any good. It's not in the Eden center, but next to the Jiffy Lube down the road on Wilson. It's nice because you don't have to deal with the crazy Eden Center parking lot!

I'm a big fan of Little Saigon. I've grown up in this area eating pretty much every Vietnamese restaurant you could name, and Little Saigon remains one of the few that I am a repeat diner. The fact that it is located so close to the famous Eden center and manages to continue to thrive is a testament to the quality of the food here. I've eaten here for regular lunches with small groups of friends where we ordered our own dishes as well as large family style dinners where we ordered preselected dinner menus, and always I leave the restaurant with a full and happy belly. You pretty much can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I've had just about everything and it's all good. The restaurant itself is fairly large and well decorated. The wait staff is friendly and attentive and the owner Hung is one of the nicest I've ever met. Next time you're in the mood for good Vietnamese food, don't rush into the hectic and crowded Eden center, but go down the street to the wonderful Little Saigon.

How can I not been happy with free egg roll. Normally I don't order fried chicken but dam it was really good. Super crispy, love the spices, and fish sauce dip. The pho was tasty, it was not greasy and good quality ingredients. The Bun plate with grill pork was really good too. The place was nice and clean, beware their ice coffee is super strong, it really woke me up.

My favorite viet restaurant in the area. My favorite dish is Goi Ngo Sen Tom Thit. I love love love this dish and in my opinion Little Saigon makes it the best in the area. Their pre-set Family Dinners are very affordable and has a great selection. I haven't been disappointed once. And love taking out of towners there for dinner. They're not open on Tuesdays which is kind of strange day to be closed. And the parking lot is very small so sometimes parking can be a challenge. But you can park in the lot over by the little convenient store even though there are signs for towing...it's to keep the local residents from parking there and going to their apartments.

For Vietnamese in the DC area, I think this is as good as it gets. I have to admit that I haven't ventured really far on the menu--what I've had was so good that I tend to order the same dishes again and again. The Garden Spring Rolls are light and fresh and I can't get enough of the peanut dipping sauce. I LOVE the fried frogs' legs here. They are crispy and perfectly seasoned--and the spicy lemongrass is an unexpected combination. I LOVE the bun with shrimp here. The shrimp are so flavorful and taste like they have just come off the grill. In the rare instance that I do not get that dish, I go for pho, which is also good. The chicken in lemongrass is ok but not the best dish I have had there. I want to try the hot pot sometime as it looks really good. The atmosphere here is NOT fancy. It almost looks like it was a cheesy Italian restaurant long ago. It's next to a depressing looking fabric store and an equally sad variety store, but all in all it's a lot easier to park here than anywhere in Eden Center, and although it is certainly not a place you go to for the ambiance, I think it's just fine. I often order mine to go, however. Very reasonable prices and very tasty food.

All I knew about Vietnamese food before I ate here was that I love Bahn Mi, but after dinner here I could eat Vietnamese every day for the rest of my life. My wife, some friends and I went here for my birthday dinner and the food was amazing. I had picked Little Saigon based on the Yelp reviews and I was not disappointed. I can see how parking could be an issue but when we pulled in there was a space right in front of the door so make sure your parking karma is in order before you visit. The menu was huge with the Vietnamese names and English descriptions following. Thankfully you can order by number so I didn't have to embarrass myself butchering someone elses language in order to get the yummy food I wanted to eat. We started with the number 1 and 5 for appetizers and they were both awesome. Number 1 was their version of a fried egg roll with shrimp and pork and other tasty things and they were a little greasy but tasted great. Number 5 was a spring roll with peanuts, Chinese sausage, basil and magical yummy joy. These were so good if I had any room for dessert I was going to order some more of these instead of something sweet. We got 4 entrees that we shared among everyone and they were all tasty. I don't remember the numbers but I think the spicy lemongrass shrimp was my favorite. They were cooked perfectly with an awesome sauce that had a little bit of heat. The sweet and sour short ribs were great, the sauce was delicious and I ate it over some white rice just to have some more of the flavor. The ribs themselves were small and had a bone in them so they were hard to eat politely. We didn't really care but I wouldn't order them on a first date. We also had the caramel fish hot pot which was good but a little fishy, I also had no idea what fish it was under the scrumptious sauce, it could have been goldfish for all I know the sauce was so good. The last entree was a noodle dish with pork and coconut milk sauce that I also really enjoyed. All in all it was an awesome meal and I will definitely be back. Adding to the awesomeness was that our bill for 4 people was $64 which I think is an amazing deal. The restaurant is very average family restaurant decor, but the bathrooms were clean and the food was far from average. Can't wait to come back and try more.

Love this little gem that's just up the street from Eden center. Their fried crab eggrolls are happy lil parcels that light up your pallate. The skin fries up bubbly and is seasoned to compliment the crab. Then there's the fish sauce wings. Oooooh do they stink when it comes out! But the smell makes my mouth water, knowing I'm about to chomp down through that sticky sweet and spicy crisp fried skin into hot juicy chicken. I go there for those two things most of the time. Once in a while I will get the fish canh chua (tamirand soup), which I think is a bit too sweet. But its the only place I know of with the crab eggrolls and that makes it all worth it. They have an extensive menu that has set meals also.

Not impressed with this place at all. Many of the reviews seemed to indicate that we would not be disappointed with this place, but what really killed the experience for us was when we ordered the Pho WITHOUT cilantro, and having it come out with cilantro floating around everywhere. It was a simple mistake, and we spotted it right away, even before the waiter could take his hands off the bowl. We reminded him NO cilantro to which he quickly remembered and removed the bowl of pho and went back into the kitchen. 2 or 3 minutes later he comes back out with anoher bowl of pho, or so we thought. With the first slurp of broth, the unmistakable taste of cilantro had already infused itself into the broth, and while eating the noodles, we were still fishing out bits of cilantro out. Did you REALLY think we would NOT notice?!?!?! My wife didn't even finish the pho. My Bun dish was alright. I was lookikng for the grilled pork but in my attempt to practice ordering in Vietnamese, I totally didn't realize I wasn't ordering the grilled pork, but the spring rolls instead. The crispy spring rolls aren't small and skinny instead they are as large as regular egg rolls. The restaurant itself has a large capacity, however the parking lots is extremely inadequate....so even on a super busy jam packed day at Eden Center, this wouldn't really make a good alternate location. Even though the food was okay, the feeling of being tricked or cheated doesn't make us want to come back here again. And even though their bill holder was marked with American Express, they don't accept it there. Boo.

Good service and the food is great! I seem to mostly order the duck special but my dining companions order something different each visit and I don't think I've had a bad dish there. I sometimes stop for lunch for the Pho Ga (Chicken soup). It is tasty with a generous helping of chicken.

Calimari WOW--::head explodes:: I'm giving Little Saigon 4 stars because I have only been to two Vietnamese restaurants, so I'm not ready to go all in with 5, because I don't have enough experience with this type of cuisine or comparisons with other places. Having said that, the food, from a flavor perspective was 5 STAR! I was there with 6 people and we tried many items: Starters: Garden Spring Rolls (wrapped in clear rice paper) w/ peanut sauce Fried Spring Rolls Chicken Wings---Great crispiness, garlicky, really different from the typical American style, served naked with a house soy sauce, I could eat as a main course! Main Courses: Calamari--This was THE BEST CALAMARI I HAVE EVER HAD--I should have started the review here. Fried ULTRA CRISPY, apparently done in a wok, not deep fryer, and plump and moist. They cracked in your mouth and left you with this both tender and chewy morsel. It was this addictive oral fixation of cracking through the crispy exterior to get to this perfect center, I know I'm not doing it justice trying to explain... Pork in Caramel Sauce--very pungent sauce, not my favorite, but liked by everyone else. Chicken in orange sauce (similar to typical Chinese Orange Chicken) Chicken in lemongrass sauce--one of my favorites, sauteed with onions, tremendous peppery flavor, with hint of lemon Beef cubes served on watercress with the house soy sauce--beef was cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful. All foods were eaten with rice, all flavorful, definitely a great experience. I am looking forward to going back and trying different dishes, along with another plate of the calamari.

This place is OK. The banh xeo is very large but I didn't try the dish to comment on its taste. The seafood hotpot is fine but not amazing. I enjoyed my Ca Kho To which came with a huge bowl of rice. You'll need a lot of rice as the fish is very flavorful. The Mi Xao Don was also good. It gets very busy in the evenings on the weekends and parking is scarce. The food was fine but I have no real reason to return.

I really love Little Saigon. The food there is delicious and the service is great. What more do you need to know? :p I've been here numerous times and it's a place that I will suggest (and insist on) going to when I'm making plans, instead of just letting my friends choose any place. My favorite dish has to be the Chicken Wings (and to some people who think Vietnamese restaurants don't serve Chicken Wings, you haven't been to enough Vietnamese restaurants. Many Pho places as well as just regular Viet Restaurants serve Canh Ga Chien Bo, or Fried Chicken Wings, as appetizers). I pretty much always order at least one order of the Chicken Wings. I do admit, though, that sometimes it comes out pretty oily. But the oil doesn't affect the taste of the wings. Their sauce that comes out with pretty much every dish is absolutely delicious. It's like a special soy dipping sauce or something. I've also had Lau (hotpot) numerous times here and I've loved it each time. They give you a lot of stuff to put in the broth. The broth itself is delicious. Whenever I have hotpot at home I only have the Thai version. I like that the hotpot at Little Saigon is not so sour, it's more sweet and...clear. I love it. I've had "comfort" food dishes there before, like Canh Chua (tamarind soup) and Ca Kho (Caramelized fish) and stuff and it was fine. Yesterday I had some grilled shrimp with vermicelli, which was decent, and the fried frog legs. There were too few legs (:p), but I would order it again. Basically all the dishes I've had at Little Saigon are dishes I'd go back to. The atmosphere is nice, the older waiter is so nice, and it's just a great place. I've had casual meetings with youth group leaders and such there. They don't make you feel awkward for doing stuff while eating. Go! You won't regret it!

Last night we ate at Little Saigon for the first time after reading a review on this site and I can say that it will not be the last. The food was outstanding and the service fantastic. The owner, Mindy, was so helpful since are really novices with Vietnamese food. She explained that this restaurant is not "westernized" Vietnamese, but the real deal. We had the crispy chicken wings in butter for one of our appetizers and it was scrumptious. If you go, you must get the stir fry chicken with lemon grass and the caramel fish. Looking forward to going back, probably next week, to try more dishes. They have a very extensive menu, so it looks like we will have to go there a lot to try it all. Don't miss out on this little restaurant that is off the beaten path. You won't regret it.

Little Saigon has been around for as long as I remember, and even though I've grown out of many of the other VNese restaurants, I still like this place. It's my go-to restaurant whenever I want some VNese food. The quality of the food is consistently good. I love their "canh ga chien bo" (fried chicken wings) dish. No one else can make it as good! It's a quiet restaurant most of the time (except on Mother's Day when it's so packed, there's no room to walk around and the staff gets all stressed out). The service is low-key but the people there are nice and friendly. I've grown up in the area and have tried practically all the VNese restaurants around here. This is still hands-down ... my favorite! Btw, the decor is not fancy. Old sticky vinyl tablecloths. Also, the restaurant owner doesn't seem concerned with technology and the 21st Century. There's no website, let alone a Facebook presence. Wonder if they're aware how important that is in today's world.

The food here is alright, but nothing to write home about, especially in the sea of Vietnamese restaurants in the nearby vicinity. We had the Bo Luc Lac (shaky beef) and Mi Xao Don (crispy egg noddles). The cubed pieces of beef were decently tender and flavored, but it didn't have quite the flavor I expected from Bo Luc Lac. The dish also lacks the salty lime dipping sauce which is traditionally served on the side. The noodle dish was a little bland, which I had to compensate for with a bit of soy sauce. Parking lot is small, but you can find parking on the side. Inside, the decor is a little quaint, and tables are crowded together. Service is good enough and the prices (~$10+ dishes) are fair for the portion size. Would I go back? No, probably not, unless I wanted to avoid the hustle and bustle of Eden Center.

Ok so the food I've had here is average and doesn't stand out and I also found a damn beetle in my garlic watercress, but I still give this place five stars for one reason and one reason only... their chicken wings. This place's chicken wings are so good they might be the best wings I've ever had. I could eat the fried minced garlic that comes with it like popcorn and drink whatever kind of soy or fish sauce that is, right out the bowl. Trust. Go for the wings.. now. Update: if you think the regular wings are good, next time ask them to be cooked with fish sauce. It's off menu, but they'll know what you're talking about.

My co-workers from the restaurant and I started a weekly dinner on Monday nights since that's the night the most of us have off. Each week, a different person gets to pick the place. Chuong picked Little Saigon. He said it's where all of the Vietnamese people go, including his parents. There were 7 of us this week - so we opted for the Seafood Dinner for 6 people and added one or two dishes. Wise decision - everything was delicious! First there was this shrimp and jellyfish salad with prawn crackers. This was followed by fried crabs (which proved to be a challenge getting all the meat out). Next came clams that were also very tasty. My favorite dish of the evening was definitely the caramel fish. I could eat more of that any day. Other dishes were calamari, hot and sour soup with shrimp, chicken with vegetables, and another fried fish dish. We were all very full and satisfied. Our server was really friendly and knowledgeable (although Chuong did order in Vietnamese, we did need some help because one of our friends has a gluten allergy and couldn't have anything with soy sauce) - so he was helpful in determining what he could/couldn't eat. Our total bill - $127 for 7 people - that's amazing! Definitely worth it.

One of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in this area...so I have to give a 4.5 stars. I can't give it 5 stars, because I've tasted better in other locations such as Cali & Vietnam. However, very authentic in flavors and a variety of dishes to pick from! It's such a delight coming here because you leave satisfied and it won't break the bank. Some of my personal favorite cuisines include Banh Hoi, Baby Clams sauteed w/ basil, peanuts & lime, Pho Chao Ap, Canh Chua Ca But really, you can't go wrong with any of the dishes. Just a forewarning, if you are looking for pho, this place may NOT be it. Try their other fun and daring dishes. Guaranteed authentic.

After reading many of the reviews I thought I would give this place a shot. I ordered the chicken wings and pork short ribs for take-out. Service was friendly and attentive while I waited for my order. I opened it all up when I got home and it looked and smelled great. However, the chicken wings were greasy, like other reviewers had said, and they were also covered with a semi-burned crunchy mixture which I am sure was mostly garlic. I do like garlic but the wings were over-cooked leaving the chicken a little dry and covered in the semi-burned crunch mixture. The breading was a basic breading, probably flour, and fairly salty. Overall, the wings were ok but not great. The pork short ribs were average as well. Breaded and fatty are difficult to combine. The breading was mushy because of the sauce but the sauce was good. Ribs were a little over cooked but average over all. The house sauce accompanying both the ribs, rice and wings was delicious. It was some kind of teriyaki sauce. I would go back to try other dishes, maybe something lighter or more fresh.

Little Saigon is a perfect restaurant for a quiet family dinner. It's roomy, clean, and not too chattery that you can't enjoy talking with your inside voice. The family style meals for 2 are actually enough to feed 3 people, and there's enough choices to create a balanced meal. The tamarind soup was just like homemade, though I did expect better coming from a restaurant. The whole fish with ginger sadly came without the head, but it was one of the best dishes of the night. Short ribs were also good. You can't go wrong with ordering caramel fish, chicken, or pork; it's one of the choices on the family style offerings. Getting into the parking lot might be tricky, but it's well worth it.

I love this place. The chicken wings are great - but so is everything on the menu (which boasts a nice variety of dishes).

I am holding onto a couple of stars for a future visit, my fellow Yelpers. Let me explain. It was Saturday night, and I was flying solo. I had intended on a trip downtown to hit one of my French bookmarks, but those plans fell through and I was left to my own devices. I scanned Yelp and saw Little Saigon beckoning me. It's close proximity, it's promising reviews, it's exotic flavors - "To Little Saigon", I proclaimed. I arrived around 5:30pm, and had the place to myself. Sweet! My server smiled, seated me, and presented a menu. I decided on the #1 (traditional spring rolls) and the #51 Curry Ga (chicken curry) based on the recommendation of some prior reviews. I ordered, and settled in with my Washington Post. Service here is friendly and quick. My server gave me the impression that he wasn't completely comfortable with communicating in English, but we managed and thanks to his positive and helpful attitude we got along just fine. In no time, I was served two perfectly prepared spring rolls. They were perfectly crispy, fresh and delicious. I was getting excited for my chicken curry. It arrived, I heaped it on my plate and....hrmmm. It had a little heat to it, but the taste was pretty bland. I was disappointed frankly. 3.5 stars - I still see hope for Little Saigon, and based on the deliciousness of the spring rolls and the glowing reviews...there must be a few gems on this menu that I haven't tried yet. Easy parking, easy to get a quick table on a Saturday night (they were even setting up a party of 21), very comfortable and casual environment, friendly service, and reasonable prices! You see? It has all the basic building blocks for a great restaurant experience. I think you should give it a shot - perhaps try something other than the chicken curry...I will when I go back. Happy Dining!

This is my spot to go to if I want basic eat-n-go vietnamese. Everything I have ever gotten has been good. Parking is easier than Eden Center. My favorite Vietnamese is Minh's but it's a little fancier and pricier than Little Saigon.

Even though it's located in a run down strip mall located a few steps from Eden Center, I still really like this place. To me, their signature dish should be the Mi Thanh Long (a noodle soup dish). It's one of the few places that still serves a shrimp cake/toast with the noodle soup (not the Chinese Version, but the authentic Vietnamese version with an actual shrimp in it). I enjoy their good service and authentic food. I just wouldn't hang out in the sketchy area at night.

Okay. My friends family (Vietnamese) from Boston...whenever they come to DC....they will eat here for like twice over their weekend stay... I say...Are you serious? There is so much good restaurants in DC...Why drive all the way out to Falls Church twice for the SAME restaurant? Because this is authentic Vietnamese food....(I thought pho is authentic? Apparently there is more!!) So I came out here w/ PC to check it out (even tho we dunno what we suppose to order that is authentic). We got baby clams as appetizer, vermicelli with grilled park and shrimp, and curry chicken dish. Of course that's way too much food for two of us...but who cares!!! We inhaled as much as possible...they were all so tasty. We took the left over home for dinner next night and they were still good. I can't wait to come back with a bigger group to order even more stuff and tried more dishes.

Okay, for Yelppers that have been here before and "loves" it, take my advice and stop reading. I took the advice of some of the other Yelppers and gave this a try since I've been to Four Sisters a few thousand times already and I am in search of other excellent Vietnamese places to replace the ones in Philadelphia, well, sad to say, this place isn't it. I went here with my cousin who's been living in the area for, well, most of her life. When I told her I wanted to try this place out, she knew right away where it was. We did the family style dinner for four, I guess that's not their thing? Everything was bad and the worst part is, who the *beep* serves fried chicken wings in a Vietnamese restaurant? Well this horrible place does. The sweet and sour fish soup was too sweet. The clay pot cat fish was too salty and the beef with veggie was too chewy, I don't know, the whole meal was unappealing. ...I was disappointed. The only reason why I didn't give this place a one star was because my cousin told me that it's actually meant for dishes that you normally eat and drink beer with, they're not known for their family style dinners. Well then don't put the flipping dishes on the menu! Although, I did enjoy their smoothies, it was the right thickness...but their che ba mau (rainbow dessert drink) was bad! I'm sorry, but I'm never coming back here...NEXT!

Little Saigon is supposedly the only authentic Vietnamese. While I can't judge on its authenticity, the food was quite good. The vermicelli noodle dish with grilled pork, spring roll and shrimp was excellent. The curry chicken dish was aromatic and flavorful. The baby clams sauteed in onion and basil was good too. Dinner for two came out to $30 and we had leftovers. The restaurant was only half-full on Saturday night so we were able to get seated right away. There's a small parking lot which is convenient. It's only two blocks from the bustling Eden Center where parking can be a nightmare (and few of the restaurants there are as good as Little Saigon).

I've been to this place a few times, and I love it because the food is great and the prices are well worth it. I haven't tried everything on their menu because my craving is mostly pho bowls. Their "small" bowl is just the right size. When I came here last Saturday with my mom, I decided to try a meat dish that my grandparents had bagged to go. I think it's called Bo Luc Lac. Anyway, the minute I ate a piece - they're pan-seared/pan-fried (I can't remember which) steak cubes - I fell in love with the dish. Not only was the entire dish flavorful, the steak was very tender as well! I would highly recommend getting this. For $11.00, it's definitely enough to feed two. I also had a small wonton soup, which I loved because it was simple and flavorful. Thinking about it earlier, I regret having gone to Outback for dinner instead of this place. I may go tomorrow for lunch and order the same thing I got last week. But truly, this is an excellent restaurant. I've tried local Vietnamese places and though most are similar in price, some don't come even close to taste. If there's anything to complain about, it would only be the size of the immediate parking lot. Update: They are closed on Tuesdays.

This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the area! Our favorite is the Pho (traditional soup) that my 6-year old daughter begs for on a regular basis! But, everything else I've had there has been good too. There is a ginger chicken dish that is awesome and another favorite is the meatballs that come with rice paper wraps...kind of a like a Vietnamese burrito that you stuff with cilantro, mint, carrots, jicama and peanut sauce. YUM!!! My husband and I always order the chicken wings. They are buttery and crunchy and have tons of carmelized garlic on them. I read in another review that someone didn't like them. I couldn't believe this. My husband is a HUGE wing fan, and these are one of his favorites. I guess everybody is different! Also, the wait staff has been really helpful, without being asked--we are not Vietnamese and on several occasions they've come over and helped us make selections to make sure we get food we will really enjoy. Finally, this is one of my sister and her husband's favorite places too--and they live in NYC where there are tons of Vietnamese restaurants to go to. Anyway, go and try for yourselves! AWESOME!

My favorite restaurant since I was a little girl! When I was little I use to hate veggies so I would only eat rice with grilled meat and spring rolls with no veggies, please. =) ...but of course my mom would sneak in a cucumber somewhere... [still good but now...] --FAST FORWARD-- A lot older but still young at heart and I always order: (SIMPLY THE BEST) -- Appetizer: clams sauted with fried onions (Eu Sao Mo Hanh) -- Entree: thin vermicelli served with grilled shrimp paste on sugar cane (Banh Hoi Chao Tom). You get to roll you own special roll woohoo and dip it in peanut sauce. My favorite thing about Little Saigon is because of their special PEANUT sauce!!! Yummy! Parking is quite small though! Also, if I want dessert Eden famous Vietnamese Shopping Center is down the street literally! And grab some Mango Bubble Tea at Thanh Son. Then my day is complete yes! (^_^)

Not a Pho joint! 1 Pho item in the menu. Pretty good Butter wings though... but who cares.

This is another place I have eaten at multiple times per year for the past 11 years or so. They had a change in ownership within the past year, and things still seem to hum along just fine. Some of the wait staff is still there, and I'd guess that the kitchen staff is either the same or following the same recipes. The place is not fancy, but it is suitable for bring out of town guests, or a date. I enjoy many of the appetizers with the different sauces. Yes, I like their fried chicken wings, but the fried calamari with the matching sauce is probably my favorite fried calamari anywhere. I also really like their soft shell crab, when they have it, and their large prawns. My fiancé's favorite is their mixed seafood and vegetables over crispy noodles, and I like their mixed meat and seafood BBQ and vegetables. I have had their cubed steak with watercress and enjoyed that as well. I wouldn't hesitate to experiment with the menu; they have a very competent kitchen.

Really good food. Excellent Service. They have new owners that really believe in customer service and quality. The spring rolls (fried) are amazing. Staff is friendly.

I feel like I've been here before as a kid, but much of my childhood is a blur. Ninja Turtles-yup, Transformers-yup, spankings-yup, Little Saigon-not so sure. In any case, it's pretty solid food especially if you're in the mood for some hot pot. We initially set out for some shabu shabu, but for whatever reason the doors of Sakura Express were locked and the lights were on. The only other place we could think of that did hot pot was here and possibly some place at Eden. The large seafood and meat combination hot pot was roughly 26 dollars and was enough to split between 5 people. It came with beef, pig ear, chicken, mussels, shrimp, watercress, and mushrooms. The soup broth was pretty tasty and had a nice mild flavor which was enhanced with the soy sauce based dipping sauce. We also tried another go to dish of mine, the crispy mi xao combination (fried crispy noodles with beef, shrimp, and chicken). It's essentially stir fry over fried crispy noodles. You can't ever go wrong with this dish...at least I haven't...yet. We also had goi bo kho (papaya salad with shredded spicy beef jerky). This dish was pretty average. I thought the bo kho could have used more kick but my tablemates thought it was too spicy. The last dish we all shared was the fried frog legs with salt and pepper. These frog legs were huge. They were fried in a light batter and served over watercress and tomato. Good eating. Service was pretty good. We all ordered up hot tea and the pot was refilled often. The waiter left us to our own devices with the hot pot and he's lucky that we knew what we were doing. I could definitely see a beginner freaking out. I figure if I were to come here again, I'd probably go with the hot pot or order from one of the set menus. They have a dinner for 2, 4, and 6 persons set menus (both seafood and regular options). Parking is easy, just make sure you go when the fabric shop next door closes, probably around 6 or 7. The inside is pretty big and can accomodate most large groups.

Excellent and very authentic. Does not look like much from the outside but the food is great. Next to the Jiffy Lube outside of Eden center.

Ate her with my family, brother and his wife. Good food and service. We had Shaky Beef, Ginger Chicken, Lemon Grass Chicken, a beef dish and a seafood dish (it tasted kind of bbq'ish). All yummy, and cooked to perfection! Worth another trip at a later date.

i'd give this a 4.5 for the food, but the difference is b/c of this: i live right next to the place, so i figured i'd be stopping by a ton...but....the three diff. times i've been, i've had really bad service. now, it's not like, rude people or anything like that at all. they're really very nice there. it's that every time i've seemed to have gone, there's only ONE dude waiting on every single table in the place. in a way i feel bad about the service. where are all the other waiters? or am i just going at freakishly weird times...every time? so it just takes forever to get the waiter's attention, is really what sucks. i've gone when it's busy, when it's half-full, so it was just a bit annoying. now, the food is definitely very very tasty. i can't remember what i've ordered in the past, but i know one time my friend ordered some beef or something, wrapped in grape leaves, that came with some rice square things (?) not sure of the exact dish, but something like that. anyways, he said it was one of the best vietnamese dishes he's had :) i'll def go back, but maybe i've just been unlucky when i go. or i'll stick to some carryout :)

Hands down the best cha gio ever! Not exactly traditional but so crispy and yummy!!!! Actually all the fried items on the memo are awesome including the chicken and frog legs! The other items are pretty tasty too but pale a bit in comparison to the fried items.

I've come here about three times and haven't ever had a very good experience. Which is surprising to me since I see this place has been getting pretty good reviews. the rice vermicelli tasted like it was heated up in a microwave, the lemongrass chicken tasted bland, and I tasted no lemongrass. Looking at the food other people were getting and the dish I had ordered, I got the impression whoever was in the kitchen had no experience in Vietnamese cuisine and had no idea what they were doing. Oh well, maybe I'll go back sometime and hopefully catch Little Siagon on a good day

This place is so good and cheap! The staff is incredibly friendly and have great recommendations. Most entrees are $8-$13 and a bud will set you back $2.50. A huge pot of fragrant jasmin tea 50-cents! I loved my shrimp bahn. And the summer rolls made a fresh and delicious appetizer. They brought out oranges after they clearned away our plates. Many Vietnamese families were dinning there on a wednesday night, so you know it must be good.

A very casual place to eat, the service is friendly and very quick, the servers are patient. Some dishes are too piquant while some others are too bland. But, again, Little Saigon is reliable in service. Easier parking than Eden Center.

Definitely my favorite VN food in the area. Everything is fresh and well made; service is very good. It's clean and modest, but worthy of a trip across the river for a sat night dinner. The baby clams are great, as is the diced clams and peanut dish. I love the shrimp paste summer rolls as well.

Outside of Little Saigon in Anaheim, this place is as good as it gets. Family run business, friendly, clean, prompt, and the food is tasty. I would go back all the way from NY.
